Workshop Description

Co-hosted by SafeCare BC, this interactive session by Road Safety At Work will help employers in the health care sector to implement or improve a road safety program that fits their organization.

Participants will learn about the human and financial costs of motor vehicle incidents, and apply hazard identification and risk assessment procedures to prioritize road safety issues. They will use Road Safety At Work tools and resources to develop action plans aimed at preventing workplace vehicle crashes.

Space is limited to 24 participants, so reserve your seat now for this half day workshop. Road Safety at Work will canvas registered participants before the session and use their suggestions to customize the workshop to focus on driving circumstances and road safety challenges that they encounter.

Who Should Attend

The workshop is for owners, managers, supervisors, health and safety practitioners, Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee members and others who have responsibility for making decisions and developing programs to keep healthcare workers safe on BC roads.

You are encouraged to send one or two representatives from your organization. To help you develop and improve your road safety program, Road Safety at Work will provide each organization with three hours of follow-up consultation with one of their road safety specialists.
