Course Description

In Safe Client Handling, you will receive best-practice training for safe handling and musculoskeletal injury prevention designed specifically for Home Care and Community Health Support staff.

This one-day course includes a blend of theory, scenario-based learning, and hands-on practice. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about safe handling techniques and tools, and apply that knowledge in a supportive, small group environment.

Intended Audience:

  • Home care and community health support workers who provide direct client care, including care aides, LPNs, RNs, and personal support workers
  • Supervisors who work with those who provide direct client care, and who would like to understand what safe work practices look like
  • Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee members who want to learn more about current best-practices in safe handling

Cost:

SafeCare BC Members - $35.00
