Musculoskeletal injuries are the leading type of injury in the Home Care and Community Health Support sector.

Course Description

In Safe Client Handling, you will receive best-practice training for safe handling and musculoskeletal injury prevention designed specifically for Home Care and Community Health Support staff.

This one-day course includes a blend of theory, scenario-based learning, and hands-on practice. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about safe handling techniques and tools, and apply that knowledge in a supportive, small group environment.

Intended Audience:

Home care and community health support workers who provide direct client care, including care aides, LPNs, RNs, and personal support workers
Supervisors who work with those who provide direct client care, and who would like to understand what safe work practices look like
Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee members who want to learn more about current best-practices in safe handling
