Course Description

This two-day session will include classroom and simulation learning. The course seeks to provide comprehensive training to Home Care and Community Health Support staff who have been identified by their leaders as champions and leaders of safety.

In Safe Client Handling, you will receive best-practice training for safe handling and musculoskeletal injury prevention designed specifically for Home Care and Community Health Support staff.

Intended Audience:

  • Be familiar with musculoskeletal injury prevention theory, safe client handling techniques and tools that enable the application of safe handling in practice
  • Have the skills to effectively train others in the above
  • Have a positive approach to musculoskeletal injury prevention (desiring optimal safety at their workplaces for both staff and clients)  

Who should register:

We encourage those individuals who act as safety champions, train others, or have roles in care planning to participate.

Cost:

SafeCare BC Members - $100.00
